Always ask how long it takes a new technician to produce a full set of nails. -Some gels need 3 layers and 3 minutes to cure for each nail! That is 90 minutes just to cure! Some systems need months of practice to become a proficient Nail technician. It's your time, but please, have a life and don’t spend your hours waiting for your product to cure or set.

DIY or REAL training

Ask about the training! Is it in a salon environment or squeezed into the aisles of a cash and carry. Do you practice on models, on other students or plastic practice hands. How experienced are the trainers? Are you being trained by a novice?

Will there be someone there when things go wrong?
